Sunday saw the Green into round 3 of the ECB National Club Championship after defeating Kenilworth Wardens by 7 wickets.

Put into bat, visitors Kenilworth were bowled out for 160 from 39.2 overs with Lee Tyrrell picking up 4 for 26.

After the loss of three early wickets, Matt Lamb (78 not out) and Andy Sutton (36 not out) saw the Green home in the 31st over.

The 3rd round sees us travel to Wolverhampton on 29th May.

On Saturday, we welcomed Walmley CC to Cherry Hill Road in our Birmingham Premier League fixture.

Putting Walmley into bat, Barnt Green's bowlers made regular inroads, bowling the visitors out for 150 in the 38th over. Simon Jackson was the pick of the bowlers, taking 5 for 44 with Tom Brown weighing in with 3 for 25.

Chasing 151 to take all 20 points, Will Baker's 55 from 59 balls and 41 from Matt Lamb were the highlights of a stuttering chase, but the tail saw the Green over the line in 36.1 overs.

Next Saturday sees the 1st XI travel to Berkswell, 12pm start.
