A 27-run victory against visitors Ombersley last Saturday kept the1st XI in touch with bottom half of the table. A blistering 91 from 47 balls from Ed Pollock helped the Green along to 299 for 7. Zain ul-Hassan and Jacques Banton also made good contributions of 68 and 42, whilst the skipper found form at the end with an unbeaten 41.
Despite 299 looking a competitive score, the visitors were never out of the game. However three wickets apiece for Sutton, ul-Hussan and Dan Meredith saw the visitors eventually fall 27 short and the Green take the all-vital points.
