A win in the Group 7 final the previous Sunday then saw the Green back at Shrewsbury to fight out the points last Saturday.

Despite 42 from George Hargrave and 52 from Ed Pollock, the Green could not muster the 216 target set by Shrewsbury, falling short at 165-7, but claiming 8 points from the draw to take us out of the drop zone.

With just 21 points separating 3rd placed Smethwick and ourselves, we look to rise further up the league with their visit to Cherry Hill Road this Saturday, 12pm start.

Victory in Round 7 of the National Club competition the previous Sunday sees us visit Bath CC on Sunday 21st July, 1pm start.

Hopefully a large visiting contingent can see us through to the quarter final, with an away trip to either Nantwich or Spondon in August.

The club is hoping to run a coach to Bath - more details to follow.
