Sutton's men shine with both bat and ball.

On a beautiful sunny day with a flat looking pitch at Cherry Hill Road Captain Andy Sutton won the toss and elected to bat firstand both openers William Baker (54) and Nathan Newport (60) both got in and took full advantage putting on 100 for the first wicket.

It is then with this great platform that the middle order really did take advantage Tom Burton (36) and Ed Pollock (64) really upped the run rate and put a lot of pressure on the West Bromwich Dartmouth bowlers and fielders with some great running and shot selection.

Luke Radford (24) and Sam Cheshire (20) came in next after the loss of Burton and played some fantastic innovative shots the latter hitting Kadeer Ali for 6 with a switch it. The Green finished with a very healthy total of 285/6

With the pitch looking like a great batting strip it was going to be tough for the Barnt Green bowlers to bowl a good batting line up out but it has to be said they gave absolutely everything.

Luke Radford's (2-24) opening spell was fast and hostile putting in so much effort to get The Green off to a great start. The pitch was taking turn so both spinners were brought into the game both Simon Mugava (1-36) and Josh Poysden (4-45) bowled superbly getting turn and bounce with some help from Cheshire and Burton with some great catches got West Bromwich Dartmouth in trouble at 145-7.

A direct hit run out from Nathan Newport really got the team buzzing around the field and the energy was high. The Green fought very hard to get the final two wickets but some hard blocking and great patience from the West Bromwich Dartmouth batters and sadly a couple of drop catches and bad luck couldn't get the final two batters out to get the 24 points.

It ended with West Bromwich Dartmouth finishing 203-8 and a winning draw for the home side. Every single player can hold their head up high with some great cricket and playing a great brand of aggressive positive cricket with both bat and ball.
